STEVE STREET
Founder & Director

After a varied and successful career as an IT specialist and then in management roles largely within the financial services industry, Steve founded Ballintrae in 2002. Steve formed Ballintrae to provide Enterprise class IT infrastructure consultancy services to the UK financial services market. Initially focusing on the delivery of IT infrastructure programmes and projects, Steve and his team, have now built up a unique business model that is being sought after in other markets and geographies. Having doubled turnover for the last 3 consecutive years, the company continues with its ambitious growth track with near term plans for international expansion and acquisitions.

Before Ballintrae, Steve worked for SBC Warburg (UBS Investment Bank) and NatWest Markets (RBS Global Markets), based out of the City of London. On moving his family to Scotland, his Enterprise clients continued with Alliance & Leicester, Lloyds and the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Having studied Electronics at Loughborough University Steve started his career in IT with Du Pont.

Steve is an active business angel and is passionate about building and developing world class technology companies based in the UK.

IAN PEARSON
CEO

Ian joined Ballintrae's Executive team following a successful career in Sales and Business Development having won, grown and managed business operations with full P & L responsibility in thirty countries in Europe and Asia and a proven track record of delivering substantial enhanced business performance.

Having started his career in Sales & Marketing with BAT's, he moved to Citigroup where he successfully created a multi currency payment product for the Travel sector.

Ian later joined the real-time financial information division of Knight-Ridder and developed the strategy which established them into major European and Asian countries. He was then appointed Managing Director of the UK & Ireland operations which he transformed.

While leading the real-time treasury information division of Cognotec he grew the business until it was the market leader with 54% market share.

In 1997 he joined the Spring Group as General Manager. In this role he devised the strategy of workforce management for organisations and led the winning £400m outsourcing bid to manage Barclays Banks' IT contingent workforce.

Before joining Ballintrae he consulted to the Albany Group assisting with the development of an HR outsourcing business and a workforce managed service.

Ian holds a post graduate in marketing having studied at the London Guildhall University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

PAUL MAYHO
Finance Director

Paul joined the executive team in September 2010 with a successful track record of building high performing teams in high growth, rapid change organisations.

Paul Qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Grant Thornton having taken a degree in Management Science from Manchester University.

After qualifying he spent the first part of his career working in Telecommunications, firstly with Telewest, and then building a pan-European carrier to carrier business at Storm Telecommunications.

More recently, Paul has worked successfully on the board of a number Private Equity backed Technology and IP companies, most recently in outsourced credit management services. He brings a wealth of experience to support a business through rapid growth phases.

DAVE GORDON
Managing Director, Market Data Practice

Dave is a specialist in all aspects of Market Data and Trading Technology with more than 20 years experience in Investment Banking. Having worked for many leading global financial institutions, he has been in management roles leading cutting-edge projects and managing large scale merger integration projects.

Prior to joining Ballintrae, Dave was the Director of Strategy and Architecture, Market Data, at Credit Suisse. Before Credit Suisse, he spent 10 years at BNP Paribas where he led the Market Data team and then took the role of CTO Global Market Data following the merger with BNP. At BNP Paribas Dave built a truly world class team, supporting leading edge trading technologies and implementing many industry leading support and control systems and processes across all business lines.

At SBC Warburg, he was a key member of the team which implemented one of the largest and most successful global transformation projects undertaken by a major Bank Earlier in his career he worked for Reuters.
